Narrative
The bewitched Agatha Harkness regains her freedom thanks to the help of a young man. Intrigued by his request, she embarks on a journey of witches' journeys to regain her powers and discover the teenage girl’s motivation. Stars Kathryn Hahn, Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Debra Jo Rupp and Ali Ann, along with host Jac Schaeffer and executive producer Mary Livanos, share how they prepared for the Marvel show on Blondie Street at Warner Bros. The set was previously used for Wandavision.
I felt betrayed and angry
Agatha lives in the same house used in the TV series Bewitched (1964). WatchMojo listed: Top 10 Most Shocking Disney Plus Day Reveals (2021). I came to Agatha All Along with no preconceived notions or any understanding of the setting. So, it wasn’t until I dug deep and watched episode 6 (?) that I realized it was connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe – specifically WandaVision.
The sets have an unusual, original perspective on how the series moves
Well, after I got engaged with Agatha All Along, I had to put it on pause and watch WandaVision. While WandaVision has crucial elements as a backstory for Agatha All Along, it’s a very touchy (and – IMO – much weaker show than Agatha All Along). Well, I finished E6 and then went to E7-E9 and actually had to hand over the show credits. The acting is excellent in every aspect, with Hahn as Agatha standing out.
It doesn’t detract unnecessarily from the overall show
Above all, the trials the characters go through and their development are well done. This show puts on an interesting story for adults, without the usual sugarcoating that everyone ends up happy in the end. While I don’t think the MCU connection is necessary, it is. I’ll probably watch the second season if it comes out..
