I’ve heard that to truly understand this series you have to read the book, so maybe that’s why
. Honestly, the whole time I was watching the show, I felt like it should be on the SyFy channel.
Unfortunately, I think this falls into the category of recent shows like Rings of Power (which I’d say is actually better)
the story just didn’t seem rich, nor engaging (because I found myself distracted by everything around me, and that’s what happens when I lose focus). While you can tell the production value was high, it just doesn’t feel like it belongs on MAX, especially with their other huge hits.
