Follows Morgan, a single mother of three, as she uses her extraordinary mind to help solve a crime while rearranging evidence during her shift as a cleaner at the police station. HPI series (2021). Despite her very high IQ, excellent memory, and in-depth knowledge of the occult, Morgan makes a number of basic legal mistakes that anyone who has ever watched a TV legal show knows she shouldn’t make. For example, in the first episode, she retrieves a document from a locked safe in the suspect-victim’s law office that would never be admissible in court – illegally obtained evidence.

Like Monk, she suffers from OCD, although not as neurotic as Monk. But she feels like she has to reconcile all the conflicting data (like an itch that needs to be scratched). And while Morgan sometimes feels like an outsider, she’s very empathetic. I really like this series, even though there have been many other police procedurals where a civilian with unusual abilities works with the cops.

The kids are interesting too

Morgan’s character is fun to watch. Plus, there are interesting decisions in the cases. She also has three kids, so she always has to balance work and home life. In the first episode, her young son actually helps out behind the scenes.
